CIA used mock executions, power tools.

Newsweek just released an article that claims a CIA briefing, that will be released next week, includes damaging evidence of brutal interrogation techniques used by the CIA since 9/11. The article claims the CIA used mock executions, guns and power tools to interrogate prisoners. I would say this brings a whole new level of disgusting to the Bush administration.

Egyptian vendors honor Obama

From the AP:

CAIRO - For the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, Egyptian fruit sellers have named their best dates of the year after President Barack Obama in a sweet tribute to the American leader for his outreach to the Muslim world.

Dates are a traditional food for Ramadan — which begins Saturday in most of the Islamic world — since the Prophet Muhammad is said to have used them to break the month's sunrise-to-sunset fast each evening.

The worst dates are named after, you guessed it.... Bush.

Bush used alert system for political gain

An interesting story is coming out that involves Tom Ridges new book. Ridge writes that four days before the 2004 election, That the Bush administration pressured the department of homeland security to raise the terrorist threat level. Ridge admits that at the time, raising the threat level made absolutely no sense security wise, and was all but politicaly motivated.

I have to say this does not suprise me at all. While I doubt anything will ever come from this, it is worth mentioning that manipulating a government agency for political gain is illegal.

Fox can't stop the bleeding

Even more sponors have bailed on the Glenn Beck show. As of today Wal-Mart, Best Buy, CVS, Alergen and Travelocity. Several other minor sponsors have also pulled the plug today. How much more ad revenue can Glenn Beck lose before getting the axe from Fox?

Obama Health Care Betrayal

The betrayal is now complete

From the AP:

WASHINGTON - Bowing to Republican pressure, President Barack Obama's administration signaled on Sunday it is ready to abandon the idea of giving Americans the option of government-run insurance as part of a new U.S. health care system.

Facing mounting opposition to the overhaul, administration officials left open the chance for a compromise with Republicans that would include health insurance cooperatives instead of a government-run plan. Such a concession would likely enrage his liberal supporters.

Glenn Beck losing even more advertising dollars!

It's all downhill from here Glenn! I reported a few days ago that three large advertisers had pulled their ads from his show. Well as of today, the news has gotten worse for Glenn.

GEICO is the latest corporate sponsor refusing to be associated with Beck. GEICO joins Lawyers.com, Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance, Men’s Wearhouse, State Farm, Sargento and SC Johnson.

Glenn Beck "Liberals are building a master race"

Glenn Beck completely losses his mind. This is what Fox considers fair and balanced news!

Obama Sells Out Americans

As some of you may have heard recently on the news, The big pharmacutical companies decided to support Obama's health care reform. When I read this story for the first time, I cringed. I knew a backroom deal had been made, and a price would be paid for this deal. And now we know what that price is.

Obama has made an agreement with big pharma to not institute rules that would allow the government to regulate prescription drug prices. Such mandates, already in affect in countries such as Canada, Denmark, Sweden and England help control prescription drug prices.

We have the most expensive prescription drug costs in the world, and now thanks to Obama, they will stay that way.

Thanks President Obama!

Glenn Beck's "Obama's a racist" costs Fox!

Fox News' Glenn Beck is feeling the consequences of his controversial comments on the July 28 episode of "Fox and Friends," when he said that Barack Obama was a "racist" who had a "deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture."

According to TVNewser, Beck advertisers Procter and Gamble, Lawyers.com and Progressive Insurance have all pulled their ads from Beck's 5PM ET show.

The Republican party is dying.....

An analysis of Gallup Poll Daily tracking data from the first six months of 2009 finds Massachusetts to be the most Democratic state in the nation, along with the District of Columbia. Utah and Wyoming are the most Republican states, as they were in 2008. Only four states show a sizeable Republican advantage in party identification, the same number as in 2008. That compares to 29 states plus the District of Columbia with sizeable Democratic advantages, also unchanged from last year.

Feigned Outrage

If you have been watching the news lately, you may have noticed what seems to be an odd trend at town hall meetings. It would appear, that their is a large amount of citizens showing up to these meetings against health care reform. This may strike you odd as some polls show upwards of 80% of Americans support reform. So, what's going on?

Well it turns out conservative groups, funded by corporations of course, have been bussing paid protestors across our country to these meetings. They then tell them to be as noisy and disruptive as possible, even giving them tips on how to appear as if they were a larger crowd then they actually are.

I hope this disturbs you as much as it does me. Big medical is desperate to kill health care reform, and it's turning ugly out there folks. If you support health care reform, like I do, please get out there to these town hall meetings and support our Democrats! If you can not go, then call, write or contact them by any means you can and support them and the health care bill we need!

We are at half-time here, we need to rally strong to finish the game!

I'm back!

I would like to apologize. There has been a lack of updates on my blog recently, I have been working hard on finishing my new book, which I a happy to report, is now complete! :)

It's currently in Kindle format and I am working on finding a literary agent. The Kindle version can be found here.
